Apple's iPad Mini Goes On Sale
Mixed response from customers for new small tablet device...
Apple's new iPad Mini has gone on sale today in the company's key markets - including the UK.
And the reception for the company's first small tablet device was apparently subdued in Asia and Australia, with Reuters reporting that at the flagship Hong Kong Apple Store "staff appeared to outnumber those waiting in line".
But there was a healthy queue on the pavement outside the Apple Store in Regent Street, London, this morning.
Customers in the UK are currently able to buy the WiFi-only model of the device, which is on sale in Apple's own shops and by authorised retailers.
Versions supporting 3G and 4G mobile broadband are to be launched later this month.
One model of the device was recently reported to be sold out on pre-orders alone.
