Apple's iPad Mini 'Will Be WiFi Only'
But computer giant reportedly planning 4G version of full-size iPad...
Apple's soon-to-be-announced iPad Mini will be a WiFi only device, it has been reported.
The Guardian claims that the eagerly awaited mini-tablet will not feature standalone connectivity, but also reports that a new version of the full-size iPad will feature 4G connectivity.
Everything Everywhere is the first network offering the super-fast mobile broadband in the UK.
Although no launch date has been set for the iPad Mini yet, The Guardian quotes multiple sources as saying that it is expected very soon - with devices on sale next month.
The paper has also heard from several sources that the new device is unlikely to feature 3G connectivity - in order to keep manufacturing costs down and to justify a low selling price.
We told you earlier this week that Apple was reportedly taking delivery of 10 million iPad Minis this year.
