The final trailer for upcoming super-saga Aquaman has dropped, and it takes us right back to the big man’s beginnings with a little look at his aqua-childhood. Yes, we have made that term up, and yes we’re standing by it…

The new trailer gives us a look at the young Aquaman’s childhood on dry land, before showing his training to shape up as the future King of Atlantis. Lesson one? Swimming, with Willem Dafoe’s Vulko. His secret? “Forget all the teachings of the surface world and go deeper.” Easy!

it certainly looks like Atlantis is going to be quite the spectacle, a startling technicolor cityscape teeming with weird and wonderful creatures (giant sea-croc anyone?). But most spectacular of all? Jason Momoa finally donning the famous green and gold suit. Pretty badass!

Directed by James Wan and co-starring Nicole Kidman, Patrick Wilson and Amber Heard, Aquaman will open in the UK on 14 December 2018.
