Arctic Monkeys bassist Andy Nicholson has left the band.
Andy dropped out of their American tour, blaming fatigue, and replacement Nick OMalley was drafted in.
But now the band have issued a statement on their website to say that Andy has departed for good. We have been mates with Andy for a long time and have been through some amazing things together that no one can take away. We wish Andy all the best, they said the remaining Monkeys.
Nick will carry on playing bass throughout their forthcoming shows over the summer.
