Arctic Monkeys have stormed the charts with their second album Favourite Worst Nightmare.

As expected the quartet sold a shed load of copies and its expected to quickly become the best selling album of 2007.

Because of the huge interest the Arctics songs also took twelve slots in the top 200 singles.

Elsewhere it was a largely stale week for the charts with dream diva duo Shakira and Beyonce keeping the top spot with their Beautiful Liar.

New entries came from in the Top 40 came from Travis and the Manic Street Preachers. This weeks big new album comes from Manchester veterans James.
