Arctics Bassist Breaks Hand

Drunken antics blamed for injury

To lose one bass guitarist is unfortunate, but to injure his replacement is surely just plain carelessness.
We heard last week that Andy Nicholson had pulled out of the Arctic Monkeys US tour, blaming exhaustion, and he was replaced by pal-of-the-band Nick OMalley (of The Dodgems). But now Nick has broken his hand following some drunken antics.
Fellow Dodgem Phil Goodwin explains: As we were walking home from the pub, our roadie grabbed [O'Malley] and pulled him over our neighbour's wall. It's quite high and he landed on his right hand. It is his plectrum hand but he says he can still hold a plectrum.
