Arctics Slate Take That
Not everyone was pleased to see the That go home with the Q 'Idol Award'...
Arctic Monkeys front man Alex Turner blasted Take That to their faces in a controversial moment at the Q Awards.
The singer was on stage to collect the gong for 'Best Album' and chose that moment to take a pop at Gary, Mark, Jason and Howard.
Referring to the 'Idol Award' trophy the reformed boy band picked up, Turner said, A lot of people make jokes about having awards for no reason just for the sake of having awards, and pretending they were good when they werent.
I don't know much but Im old enough to know that Take That were always boll****.
The snipe was water off a duck's back for Take That though - they also grinned when Noel Gallagher quipped, (Take That) would have known about it if Liam had shown up."
In fact Howard just looked chuffed his band had been invited in the first place, When we first started out it was just Smash Hits Poll winners parties, so its nice to get a credible award, he said.
And for every diss were several glowing words of praise - the boys looked far from unhappy when straight after the ceremony Girls Aloud pounced upon them to offer their support.
All in a day's work for a reformed manband...
