Ariana Grande, 5SOS And The Vamps For Radio 1 Teen Awards

Pop stars recruited for BBC's annual gong show at Wembley in October...

The line-up has been announced for the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards next month - and Ariana Grande is topping the bill.

The US pop princess will be joined by Aussie punky-popsters 5 Seconds Of Summer and by Brit boy band The Vamps at the SSE Arena in Wembley on 19 October.

Rita Ora and Breakfast Show presenter Nick Grimshaw are set to co-host the ceremony, which is now in its fifth year.

While Rixton, Ella Henderson and Labrinth are also all scheduled to perform in front of a crowd of thousands.

The announcement was made on Grimshaw's show this morning, with The Vamps saying: "We're so excited to play at Radio 1's Teen Awards in October!

"We presented an award there last year (and James FINALLY met Taylor Swift!) so to be back performing this time is amazing!

"The crowd were so loud and there are some awesome inspirational teenagers that get awards too - not just celebs! See you there!"

And Rita Ora commented: "I can't wait to get involved and join my friend Grimmy on stage to co-host the Radio 1 Teen Awards - yes, we're going to make some noise!"
