Ariana Grande and Chris Pratt star in the promo for the premiere of the 40th season of Saturday Night Live.

The songstress and actor share one-sided compliments, before Pratt accidentally insults Ariana's heritage.

They both make their first ever appearances on SNL this weekend.

An alternative set of promo videos show the Guardians of the Galaxy star fending off SNL cast member Kate McKinnon.

The pair will feature on the sketch show on NBC at 11.30pm ET in the US.
