Ariana Grande has been switching up her hairstyles recently, with reports claiming her new look is down to beau Big Sean!

Despite previously telling The Daily Mail she felt "so naked" with her locks hanging loose, the Break Free singer has more recently, ditched her trademark high ponytail in favour of wearing her hair down, with the star sporting this style at the 2014 MTV EMA on Sunday (November 9).

"He’s making her feel like the sexiest girl in the world.He’s totally encouraging her to wear her hair down more."

They continued: "She’s attached to her big ponytail because it makes her feel protected and more confident, but he’s making her feel like she doesn’t need that.

“He tells her she’s beautiful with the ponytail too, but he’s been encouraging her to wear her hair down more, he likes it."

During an interview with InStyle magazine, the 21-year old recently spoke about her romance with Sean where she revealed her mixed feelings over going public after posting a cosy snap of herself with the rapper.

Ari explained: "I have conflicting feelings about it. On the one hand, I feel like I’m growing up and realise my life is my life and some things don’t need to be shared.

“But I’m very spur-of-the-moment, very open with my fans. And if there’s a cute pic I like that’s a little personal and I want to share it, maybe I will."
