Ariana Grande Gets New Spirited Away Inspired Tattoo
Let's just say you're going to want to check out her brand new inking.
Ariana Grande's been showing off a brand new tattoo and guess what? It's inspired by your (and her) favourite anime, Spirited Away
The ‘Sweetener’ singer unveiled the new tatt, which is of the character Chihiro and which covers a major area of her forearm, over on her Instagram.
You can see it's a fresh tatt as it’s still bandaged up to help with the healing process.
Ariana tagged New York artist Mira Mariah in the pics posted to her story on the ‘gram with the caption: “I love her so much.”
If you didn't know, the character is from 2001’s ‘Spirited Away’ which is an anime story about a young girl who searches for a way to reverse magic cast onto her parents that turned them into pigs. Like, actual pigs.
In a now-deleted pic she posted on Instagram, Ari told her followers: “Chihiro’s growth into a capable individual is a core factor to the movement of [the movie’s] plot.”
She’s tweeted previously that she and husband-to-be Pete Davidson “just ate like the parents from spirited away [sic],” so the film must hold a lot of significance for the ‘The Light Is Coming’ singer.
The new inking adds to Ariana's ever-growing collection of body art and isn't the only recent addition either: in the past few months she and Pete have been spotted in and out of the tattoo studio together several times, with Pete even getting Ariana's logo tattooed behind his ear.
Ari also recently had ‘H2GKMO’ tattooed on her hand, which she has explained stands for ‘Honest To God Knock Me Out’, a phrase that in the past she has ound herself saying multiple times a day. And honest to god, that’s relatable.
Ari and Pete also have matching love heart tattoos on their fingers and Pete’s father’s FDNY badge number on their skin. How cute is that?
