Ariana Grande Hits Out At Sexist Criticism Of Her Break-Up With Mac Miller

“I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be."

Ariana Grande couldn’t be less here for the suggestion that she’s somehow responsible for Mac Miller’s recent drink-driving arrest after being the one to call time on their “toxic” relationship.

In a lengthy statement shared on Twitter, the 24-year-old pointed out that she’s neither a “babysitter or a mother” when a social-media user claimed she ditched the rapper after he recorded an entire album about her.

'Let's get checking out seven celeb exes who had social-media beef after their split...'

“How absurd that you minimize female self-respect and self-worth by saying someone should stay in a toxic relationship because he wrote an album about them, which btw isn’t the case (just Cinderella is ab me),” she began.

“I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be. I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety & prayed for his balance for years (and always will of course) but shaming/blaming women for a man’s inability to keep his s*** together is a very major problem.

“Let’s please stop doing that. Of course I didn’t share about how hard or scary it was while it was happening but it was. I will continue to pray from the bottom of my heart that he figures it all out and that any other woman in this position does as well.”

At the time of their break-up, Ari released a statement sharing her “unconditional love” for Mac and said that that he would remain one of her “best friends in the entire world.” She’s currently said to be dating Saturday Night Live host Pete Davidson.
