Ariana Grande Reacts To Jai Brooks Cheating Claims

Star takes to Twitter denying that she cheated on him with Nathan Sykes...

Ariana Grande has responded to her ex-boyfriend's claims that she cheated on him with new beau, The Wanted's Nathan Sykes.

Grande and Sykes [uuid=b96bd4c0-8a7c-4357-926c-b969c6c1a64d]first went public with their romance last month[/uuid], but her former flame,The Janoskiansstar Jai Brooks, seemed less than impressed by their relationship, insisting in a lengthy post on his Twitter page that Ariana was unfaithful to him.

Brooks wrote: "Yes I was cheated on. Yes it does suck. Yes I was left for another man. And this happens everyday to so many people of every age, gender, race.

"I happen to be one of those people and I'm in a situation where I am constantly reminded of it every day. Like anyone who has been cheated on, it has been tough for me but I'm finally ready to move on.

"I wasn't ready to give up on something that was causing me to smile and be happy day in and day out. That's what relationships do - they make you the happiest person in the world and all of a sudden a miserable wreck."

Addressing The Wanted heartthrob, Brooks said: "Nathan may be a top bloke or a sweet person, but what he did was just completely wrong. He interfered with my life and did not respect my relationship, his actions caused me to not be able to sleep at night and not see the world as a beautiful place.

"Nathan if you read this, when you hold her hand you better hold it tight because you are holding my world."

Brooks went on to wish Ariana and Nathan "happiness" but added: "Yes I do miss her and still love her but I need to start thinking of myself and do what is best for me.

"You may or may not believe me, that is up to you and I'm not going to force you to, but just know I would never make up a lie about something like this, it's far too serious."

After seeing Brooks' comments, Ariana took to Twitter to admit that she was "shocked" by her ex-boyfriend's accusations and accused him of using her to create press attention.

You said to me if I didn't come back to you, you'd make me look bad to the entire world... I'm no longer afraid of you or your lies anymore.

The 20-year old pop princess tweeted: "Woke up this morning in complete and utter shock... I guess I shouldn't be so surprised.

"You said to me if I didn't come back to you, you'd make me look bad to the entire world... I'm no longer afraid of you or your lies anymore.

I'm going to be the lady my mother raised and carry myself with class and dignity... But I will never be any man's press opportunity.

She continued: "Girls... RESPECT YOURSELVES. Keep your head held high and speak only kind words. Know your truth... no one can ever take that away from you.

"It's always ok to defend yourself. My fans know what kind of person I am. Never let any man discredit u or the values you were raised with."
