Ariana Grande Reveals 'Problem' Almost Never Made Her New LP

The Baby I singer also reveals that the Iggy Azalea-assisted track is about a past love...

Ariana Grande has confessed that her new single Problem almost never made it on to her new album.

During an interview with Billboard, the Right There singer confessed she was reluctant to feature the song - which features Iggy Azaela - on her LP until she played it in a meeting with her management and label, who changed her mind.

The 20-year old revealed: "Problem truly represents the feeling of being absolutely terrified to re-approach a relationship that's gone sour, but you want to more than anything.

"In the song, it ends on a sappy, negative note, but in [real] life, we're hoping it's going to end on a positive one. I feel like it's all very honest and human."

Grande - who used to date The Wanted star Nathan Sykes - has since taken to Twitter to reveal that Problem has broken a US iTunes record.

She wrote today (April 29): "Loves u broke a record! Problem is now the fastest song to ever climb to no 1 on @iTunesmusic only 37 minutes u are the most amazing."
