Ariana Grande Opens Up About Feeling Really 'Anxious' On First UK Visit Since One Love Manchester
The 'Sweetener' singer admits her trip to the UK left her feeling anxious and exhausted, as she describes it as a "huge test."
Ariana Grande has opened up about feeling "really, really anxious" during her first trip to the UK since the One Love Manchester Concert last year.
The 'Sweetener' singer recently travelled to the UK to perform in London for Captial FM's Up Close series, but she admitted the trip was a "huge test" for her.
A fan tweeted questioning why we haven't seen many candid pics of her, and she replied: "sry i’m really really anxious and really exhausted and jus trying to get thru the trip. hope that’s ok. hope you enjoy the performances. my priority is giving u the best performances i’m capable of. i don’t really care ab having my picture taken. love u [sic]."
Another fan reached out to say they hope she enjoys the rest of her time in the UK, and she replied: "i’m like really trying. it’s jus been a while since i’ve done this or been this far away from home. this was a huge test. so far not so great hehe. but i’ve loved singing for u and seeing ur faces. that part has been nice. thanks for understanding n for loving me [sic]."
Her first trip to the country since the benefit concert, which she held following the Manchester Terror attack at her concert in May 2017 that left 22 people dead, was never going to be easy.
But it looks like her final night in London was a special one.
Following her performance for 'Ariana Grande At The BBC' on Thursday night, she tweeted: "o woah london that was so special. i love u more than words can express. thank u for everything i’m so grateful and also fully sleeping. u are everything. sweet dreams [sic]."
She later took to Instagram to wish the city goodbye with an epic wig throw, and a simple: "Bye London."
