Ariana Grande’s Mum 'Rushed Fans Backstage To Safety' After Attack
Joan was still in her front row seat at the time.
Following the devastating attack at Ariana Grande’s Manchester concert on Monday (May 22), which killed 22 people and injured 120, further details have emerged surrounding her mum’s reaction.
According to TMZ Joan was still sitting in her front row seat when the explosion went off in the foyer, as she urged fans to come with her backstage.
Eye witnesses claim that, along with Ariana’s security, Joan took as many as 10 people into the dressing rooms before they could be safely evacuated by the police.
This comes as both Ari and her mum were seen landing in Boca Raton, Florida, Tuesday (May 23) on a private jet, greeted by the singer's boyfriend Mac Miller on the runway.
“Mac waited for Ariana at the bottom of the [private jet] stairs,” a source tells People. “She looked distraught and like she has been crying. They hugged for a while before they headed to a waiting car. Ariana’s mom Joan was with her.”
Our thoughts are with all of the victims and their families at this difficult time.
