Did High School Musical 3 Inspire Ariana Grande’s ‘No Tears Left To Cry’ Music Video?
We've never been more convinced of anything
We can all agree that Ariana Grande’s music video for ‘No Tears Left To Cry’ deserves all the awards in the world, but some people have pointed out that the concept behind the shoot is seriously familiar.
For anyone who hasn’t watched the video (literally who are you?) the whole thing features some cool visual effects that portray Ari walking on the ceilings of chapels, sliding off buildings, and standing in spinning rooms.
Let's get checking out a bunch of celebrities who legit copied each other...
Obviously, it’s a pretty incredible premise, and one that reminds a lot of people of that scene in High School Musical 3 where Troy Bolton is running around the halls of East High School singing his heart out to ‘Scream.’
And guess what? It didn’t take long for fans to edit the two videos together and essentially make all our lives complete forevermore.

The director behind the music video, Dave Myers, previously opened up about why he included those dizzying effects in the final cut: “The concept we wanted to explore was the disorientation that you go through in life and the quest we all go through to find the ground again,” he said.
“We flirt with the ambiguity of whether you need to find the ground or whether the ground is what you make of it.”
The only question we have now is if Ariana and Troy (AKA Zac Efron) would be willing to go on a joint tour and make all our dreams come true.
