Pete Davidson Cancels A Comedy Appearance In The Wake Of Ariana Grande Split
The comedian has reportedly cited "personal reasons" for his no-show
The comedian was scheduled to perform at Temple University in Philadelphia but made the decision to pull out of the event due to “personal reasons” just days after his short-lived engagement to the singer came to an end.
While Pete has taken some time to heal in private, Ariana made the decision go ahead with a pre-taped special about Broadway musical Wicked on Tuesday, despite skipping out on the final rehearsal for the NBC TV taping.
Images from the event show that she is no longer wearing the $100,000 diamond engagement ring given to her by Pete, which coincides with reports that she’d willingly handed it back when the decision was made to end their relationship.
After performing, she took to social-media to share several images of herself in full make-up alongside the caption: “Can’t believe I almost let my anxiety ruin this for me today!
"Not today Satan! Not tomorrow or the next day either not no more u can suck my big green d— finna sing my heart out and be a big walking vessel of love bye,” she added.
Entertainment Tonight have previously claimed that she was the one to end the engagement, saying that the death of ex-boyfriend Mac Miller prompted her to question what she really wants from life.
“It was time to realize this wasn’t the right time for them and Pete is incredibly heartbroken. Pete is still so in love with her. He wanted his whole world to revolve around her but she was emotionally unavailable,” the insider added. “Pete had to give her that space out of love.”
