Scooter Braun Hints Ariana Grande Once Fired Him Over A “Sh**ty Boyfriend”
The manager has opened up about their working relationship
Ariana Grande’s manager has hinted that she once fired him over a disagreement about one of her “shi**ty boyfriends” that was only resolved when the couple eventually separated.
Scooter Braun – who also manages Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen – told Variety that there was a time before her engagement to Pete Davidson when his connection with the singer reached boiling point.
“With Ariana, I could have said a lot of stuff, and in fact my team wanted me to, because they were pissed,” he revealed. “But I said “We’re not gonna say a word, and this is gonna come back around.”’
A few months later he and Ariana had a “very honest conversation” that mended the state of their relationship, which meant they fully trusted each other when the 2017 Manchester terrorist attacks took place.
“That relationship we had, from being fired to getting back together, really gave us the strength for what we never imagined would come that following year,” he admitted.
There’s no knowing which ex-boyfriend Scooter was referring to, but it’s safe to say he holds the late Mac Miller in the highest of regards. After hearing of his passing, he wrote: “This was a good man with a great heart. He will be missed and is gone way too soon.”
This comes as Ariana’s friends and family are said to be “relieved” that her relationship with Pete Davidson is over, with an insider telling People that it “was all too soon” and that they never wanted the pair to tie the knot so quickly.
