Ariana Grande Drops A Teaser For The ‘Thank U, Next’ Video And Now We Want A Feature Film
Seriously, we need it.
Being one of the most anticipated music videos of the year (facts), we’re out here just casually asking Ariana Grande via the internet to drop the damn music video for ‘Thank U, Next’ already.
The ‘God Is A Woman’ vocalist has been teasing the concept for the video for weeks now, with re-enacted snippets of iconic teen classics such as 'Bring It On', 'Legally Blonde', 'Mean Girls' and '13 Going On 30' being splashed across the web.
Now she’s dropped an actual trailer. A trailer for a music video (which are usually only three minutes long). To say we’re overexcited for a mini-breakup movie to drop ASAP would be an understatement.
The cameos in the trailer are UNREAL, with Troye Sivan making an appearance alongside Elizabeth Giles, actual real-life-he’s-still-hot Jonathan Bennet (Aaron Samuels), and a very pregnant Colleen Ballinger.
The best part? When Colleen says she got pregnant simply because there was a rumour Ariana got pregnant and she wanted to be pregnant at the same damn time. That’s relatable IRL.
The trailer is a recreation of the scene that introduces Regina George in Mean Girls, and features so many famous faces talking straight to the camera telling the world how great Ari is. Where's the lie?
And if you’re a huge fan of Mean Girls like the rest of us, then we don’t want to spoil the magnificence of the trailer for you, but there’s a few actual actors from the original film featured throughout.
Raise your hand if you’ve ever felt personally victimised by being made to wait for this music video, because, same.
