MTV has got together with Shoot Nations 2009 and is addressing the theme of Growing Up in the 21st Century.
What does that mean? – Well we want to build a global picture of the challenges facing young people in terms of the limitations and opportunities that come with being born male or female.
Focus on stereotyping, on how much who you are is related to whether you are male or female and on the different paths boys and girls are encouraged to tread. Take a closer look at who you really are!
In order to enter the competition, all you have to do is submit three photographs, drawings or graphic designs that capture:
1. Because I am a Girl/ Because I am a Boy (choose one)
2. What’s holding me back?
3. What could I be?
The photos will provide a vivid illustration of the subject from different viewpoints from all over the world. If you need some inspiration, why not have a look at www.shootnations.org to see previous winning entries.
There are great prizes to be won, an exhibition in London and even the chance to present to members of the UN in NYC… what are you waiting for?
The Competition is open from Friday 1st May and closes Friday 31st July 2009 at 6pm (GMT).
This is a chance to showcase your creativity - register your interest and sign up by going to www.shootnations.org
