Someone tries to steal the rappers chain at a gig in Africa

50 Cent nearly suffered a blow to his tough guy image when someone pulled his chain from his neck at a gig.

But Fiddy- real name Curtis Jackson- jumped into the crowd and got his gold jewellery back at the concert in Africa.

TMZ has a video of the incident which shows a fan jump on stage and grab the chain off the rapper.

According to sources 50 Cent then followed the thief into the audience and punched him.

A  G-Unit source was asked what happened at the end and replied: The chain is around 50's neck right now."
