Ash and Pete admit that she is up the duff

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz have finally confirmed that they are expecting their first child.

Rumours have persisted for months that the Outta My Head singer was expecting but the couple have resisted media questions.

In a statement on Wentz blog they said: We wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. "This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family." Which by our estimation means the child will be born in late October/ early November this year.

Pete- bassist in Fallout Boy- and Ashlee were married earlier this month in her parents back garden.
