Britney Spears' new music video Womanizer is proving an unprecedented success across the internet including on MTV.co.uk!

The video has been viewed by a record number of people since being uploaded on to the site yesterday, and shows no signs of slowing-down.

Womanizer is the first single from Britney's new album Circus and, in the new music video, we see Britney playing several different roles: nightie-clad girlfriend, naughty secretary, tattooed waitress and a near-topless chauffeur.

The video was shot last month in Los Angeles and was directed by Joseph Khan, who also worked with Britney on her videos for Stronger and Toxic.

There are high expectations Womanizer will confirm Spears' comeback following her recent nervous breakdown.

Viewers will notice that Britney is in fine shape in the video after shedding 60lb by going on a diet of vicodin!

A source told The Daily Star: "The video has already been an amazing success and is just going to keep getting bigger.

"Brit still has a lot of fans and everyone wants to see her back to her best. Other people are checking it out to see if it's a car crash but loving it so much they are watching it again and again.

"This should definitely help her win back her pop princess crown back after a difficult yet exciting time."
