Calpernia Addams creates subversive remixes, mashups and re-imaginings of music from layers of the popular and obscure. Her CalMixXxes are hard remixes of songs that "should never have been remixed". Her DeMixXxes flip-flop popular songs that use obscure samples, bringing the sampled song to the forefront and using the pop tune as samples.
