Chace Crawford In Training For Footloose

The Gossip Girl heartthrob will take the part originally made famous by Kevin Bacon in the 80s flick.

 

Speaking to the BBC director Kenny Ortega- who directed Michael Jackson’s This Is It- said: “He's doing dance training and physical training. We have a great teacher working with him there - he wanted it, he loves it.”

 

He continued: "We just did a big scene from the movie, just as a little sizzle, a little test - a place for us to stretch together, he was dancing in it and he's going to be great.”

 

Crawford and Ortega, who is also responsible for High School Musical and Dirty Dancing, will start filming the movie in March with a release likely later in 2010.
