With a dubstep & hip-hop infused feel that's bang on the money, Context is inspired as much by the low-key Bristol DnB sounds of Portishead and Massive Attack as London based producers like James Blake, The Streets or Burial.
Working solely out of his bedroom on a shoestring budget, creating his own innovative, groundbreaking and relatable sound, Context has had an incredible four years since he began his journey in 2008.
Since then, via the depth of his writing, lyrical poignancy, and by offering a window in to the world of the everday, he’s earned critical acclaim both in the UK and abroad, from the likes of The Independent, The Huffington Post, SB.TV and the MOBO Awards, and had his material playlisted by both MTV and BBC Radio 1.
Now, after an astonishingly successful 2011, he begins 2012 by winning a highly coveted place on the MTV Brand New for 2012 list.
