Jack White Talks Britney Spears

Jack White has given a surprise lecture to students at Dublin’s Trinity College talking about Britney Spears, Bob Dylan and Shakespeare.
The White Stripes, Death Weather and Raconteurs man made an unscheduled appearance at the university’s philosophical society last night.
In a deep discussion White talked about his musical influences, sprawling projects and the authenticity of artists he admires.
He said: “I don’t know if Bob Dylan and Tom Waits are as authentic as I think they are. Perhaps they’re not.”
White continued: “Sometimes you start thinking that maybe Britney Spears or someone like that who’s doing exactly what they want to do in the way that they best know how, is more authentic than any of those people you could mention.”
Jack is currently touring the UK and Ireland with his group The Dead Weather. He recently revealed that the band have already recorded tracks for a second album.
