Jay-Z has broke his silence on his Glastonbury Festival performance with an exclusive interview for MTV News.
Calling the night amazing he also told us about why he started the headline set with Oasis hit Wonderwall and talked about Amy Winehouses controversial comments about Kanye West.
It was a historic night for Glastonbury and for myself (as) its the first time a hip hop act had headlined, Jay said- speaking before his Projekt Revolution show in Milton Keynes.
The rapper also admitted to being worried about the show: It was one of those nervous moments right before I went on and I havent had that feeling in a long time.
New York resident Jigga explained his decision to open his show with Oasis hit Wonderwall:
Thats my sense of humour. I have a sense of humour like a Brit so I thought people would appreciate that. Noel Gallagher was one of the biggest detractors so I figured that was a cool way to start the show.
Beyonces husband also said hes a fan of the Manc band: I play that song (Wonderwall) a lot at my restaurant on Friday nights- after weve had a few drinks it works really well. Thats how I knew it so well.
When MTV News asked if he would play Glasto again Jay told us: Of course. It was incredible. I even had wellies in the car but I didnt need them!
