Kasabian Stick Up For Seals

The indie rockers give wearing fur the cold shoulder

Kasabian have lent their support to animal charity Peta by backing their new Fur is Dead campaign.

When asked what he thought about people who wear fur, lead singer Tom Meighan didnt mince his words:

"I think its just common sense really. "I mean, of course I don't think it's OK to smash a baby seal's skull. I don't wear fur; it's such an ugly thing to do."

Kasabian are part of the global campaign against seal clubbing in Canada.

Previous Peta spokespersons include Pamela Anderson, Morrissey and Jenna Jameson.
