Leona Lewis has announced that her follow-up album to the 2008 hit Spirit will be released on November 17th…a week after a certain Robbie Williams.

The X Factor winner’s hotly anticipated new release entitled Echo will hope to achieve the same sort of success as her debut album which sold over 6 million copies worldwide.

It also earned the Bleeding Love singer three Grammy Award nominations and made chart history when Leona became the first British female artist to enter the US Billboard Top 200 album chart at number 1.

Talking about her new album, Lewis said: “I titled my album Echo since an echo describes a big, organic sound,”

Leona, who has collaborated with Xenomania, Ne-Yo and Ryan Tedder on the new record added: ““I’m in the midst of the recording process, working with incredible songwriters and producers and my music has really evolved. It’s so exciting to create something new.”

However, former Take That star Robbie Williams could stop Leona achieving her second chart topping LP as his eighth studio album Reality Killed The Video Star is set for release the week before Leona’s.

Williams, whose new single Bodies is out on 11th October has worked with the critically acclaimed hit maker Trevor Horn on his first studio album since his 2006 release Rudebox.

Let the chart battle commence!
