Lily Allen, despite promising that all she was going to do was music, has been selected to help judge the winner of next year's Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction
The 22-year-old, will join the five female panellists to decide the winner of the 30,000 prize, which was set up in 1996 to promote female authors. The shortlist will be unveiled in April 2008.
Along with her talkshow, fashion line and becoming the face of a new range of hair straighteners-Lily may need to rethink her promise.
