R Kelly's Assistant Testifies

R Kelly has been facing a number of witnesses in his current child pornography case, however, this week it became even more heated when he was faced with one of his ex-employees, Lindsey Perryman.

Perryman, who worked sporadically for Kelly over a seven year period has told the court that she is certain, 110 percent certain in fact, that the video tape does feature R Kelly and the underage girl in question.

Initially, Perryman testified to Kelly being a great employer and said that she had arranged meetings between him and the young girl in question on a number of occasions but was unaware of any inappropriate behaviour until viewing the tape.

After watching the footage Perryman commented "I was shocked I was disturbed. I didn't want to see any of this."

The witness is sure that it is the young girl in question "She has distinct cheekbones, and the way she moves her mouth, the way she smiles, it's all very distinctive. The image I saw looked exactly like her. [And] it sounded exactly like her."

R Kelly faces 14 counts of child pornography; seven for directing, seven for producing. This could result in 15 years in prison and a $100,000 fine. If convicted, he'd have to register as a sex offender.
