Stevie Wonder, Motown legend, has confirmed a European Tour with three UK dates.
The multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer, who has 25 Grammys (the most any solo artist has ever received) will be gracing our shores in September.
Stevie made the announcement during a showcase at Londons Hard Rock Caf I am looking forward to performing in these venues in Europe We are going to have some wonderful nights of intimate excitement."
Wonder has sold albums totalling more than 100 million units, has been inducted into both Rock & Roll and Songwriters Halls of fame, and is recognised as one of the most influential musicians of the 20th Century.
Stevie has been involved in civil rights movements throughout his career, describing himself as a ''conscientious criminal'' in 1985 when he was arrested for an anti-apartheid protest outside the South African Embassy in Washington DC.
At the recent press conference, Wonder showed his support for the Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama, likening the US Senator to Martin Luther King Jr. and John F Kennedy.
Stevie also announced that the tour will prelude the release of two new albums, Gospel Inspired by Lula and Through the Eyes of Wonder.
The former is set to be released later this year and is a tribute to his late mother, Lula May Hardaway, who passed away 2 years ago. The latter is Stevies take on what other people see.
