Platform2 is a brand new government program that gives young adults the opportunity to live, work and learn about life in developing countries.

MTV News went down to the launch of the project at Lambeth College and asked UK rapper Sway why he chose to get involved with the project "I think its a great thing that young adults can go over to places where they usually wouldnt or couldnt afford to go."

During 10-week volunteering work placements, in locations such as South Africa, India, Ghana and Peru, volunteers will be able to live, work and breathe a totally new culture!

Sway told us that it's necessary to experience some things first hand "people might see something on t.v and see some parts of South Africa but there are other parts that have not been highlighted in the media. I think its a good idea that people go and see the culture for themselves".

The project is unique because it has been specially designed for young British people who wouldnt normally get the chance to travel across the world.

The best part is... you can volunteer abroad for free! The placements are fully funded by the Department for International Development. To find out how to sign up for Platform2 go to www.myplatform2.com
