Ever thought what might happen if Leonard Cohen had sung in a post-Antony Hegarty world? Well, welcome to The Unbending Trees, the second signing to Ben Watt's Strange Feeling Records imprint. Following the success of the label's debut band, Copenhagen's Figurines, things are kept European, but there the comparison ends. Hailing from Budapest in Hungary, The Unbending Trees are a trio, and specialize in sparse, brutally honest, chamber ballads and slo-core pop. Kristof Hajos (vocals, words) was involved in various musical projects before founding The Unbending Trees back 2006.
