Cruise Won’t Do An ‘Arnie’

Hollywood megastar Tom Cruise arrived at the world premiere for his new film Lions For Lambs last night and did his usual two hour meet and greet with his adoring fans.

When Tom eventually made his way round to MTV News where we asked him about playing the part of a Senator and whether he fancied going in to politics for real:

No. Politics is a part of our lives that I pay attention to but Im an artist first and foremost, said the actor.

Lions For Lambs, also starring Meryl Streep and director Robert Redford, sees Streep as a high-profile journalist interrogating an up-and-coming Senator (Cruise) over the American fight against terror. With several plots joined together by a college Professor (Redford) this looks like one of LFFs more engaging offerings.

The Film is out across the UK on November 9th
