Zac Efron For Saturday Night Fever Remake?

Zac Efron will reportedly star in a Saturday Night Fever remake being made by Simon Cowell.

 

The Sun reports that the X Factor judge has been in talks with producers about reviving the disco film.

 

It’s also claimed that uber-producer Timbaland will follow in the footsteps of the Bee-Gees by recording the new soundtrack.

 

Cowell has apparently had to convince the rights owner Robert Stigwood that he would remake the film sensitively.

 

A source told the paper: “Simon has been drawing up a list of people he wants to get involved. When that meets Robert’s expectations, the contracts will be signed.”
