It's that time of year again when Christmas miracles start happening left right and center, so of COURSE Ashlee Simpson has announced she's working on new music.

The Pieces of Me songstress has revealed that she's currently in the studio with husband Evan Ross, focusing on a 'special project'.

“We’re working on an album together. So in the new year, that will be happening! It’s been really fun to work together," she told Us Weekly.

And contrary to popular belief, Ashlee and Evan seemingly get on like a house on fire when it comes to business.

“When you work separately,” Evan explained, “you don’t get to hang out — so this works out well.” Added Ashlee, “This way we can tour together! I’m definitely excited. I love working with my husband.”

But don't go thinking she's not also bringing a solo album out, because she totally is.

“We’re doing this album together and then we’ll go off and do our own,” says the “Pieces of Me” singer.

Honestly our 12-year-old self is climbing the walls rn.
