ASOS Launch Underwear That Comes In A Range Of Different Skin Tones
Expanding the definition of the term "nude."
ASOS have received a unanimous round of applause from the internet for dropping an underwear range that comes in a selection of different skin tones.
Everyone knows that shopping for nude items generally means finding a pair of off-white pants and little else, which is why it’s about time fashion embraced diversity and started catering to the needs of all their customers.
Let's get checking out whether a bunch of grown adults can pass a GCSE exam...
Sharing an image of a range of models wearing their underwear line, ASOS tweeted: “We have new underwear, and we think it’s fab” alongside five raised-hand emojis of varying skin tones.
This isn’t the first time the online retailer has expanded the definition of the term “nude.” The company hit the headlines a few months ago for offering their classic court shoes in a variety of skin shades, which is something that Christian Louboutin himself also did back in March.
Obviously a major player in the move to diversify fashion and beauty is Fenty Beauty. Rihanna’s make-up line includes an incredible 40 shades of foundation, with a focus on a large and extensive selection of darker skin shades.
Proving that there is a market for inclusive products, Ri-Ri has seen her profits soar above and beyond competition from Kylie Cosmetics and Kim Kardashian's KKW cosmetic line.
Let that be a lesson to everyone else.
