New Assassin's Creed Game In Pipeline
Ubisoft CEO announces fresh installment of stealth franchise...
It has been revealed that there will be a new entry in the Assassin's Creed Series.
According to Digital Spy, Ubisoft CEO Assassin's Creed III, which was released last year, was set in colonial America, beginning in 1777, spanning a 30-year period.
The new game will be set in a different period of time and will feature a new protagonist.
It has also been revealed that the game will not be developed by the team behind Assassin's Creed III.
Guillemot explained: "It is the benefit of multiple teams working on multiple chapters of the product, each getting several years to make their versions of an Assassin's Creed game."
He revealed the news whilst speaking to investors and also confirmed the next game will be released in the company's fiscal year 2014. This will see the game being available to purchase before April 2014.
Last year it was hinted that Assassin's Creed IV would be released at some point this year.
