Audrey Hepburn’s Granddaughter Covers Harper’s Bazaar’s September Issue

Emma Ferrer is the double of her iconic grandmother in her first ever photo shoot…

By Jennifer Lynn

If you thought the model on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar’s September issue, Emma Ferrer, looked familiar then you’d be right. Granddaughter of Audrey Hepburn, Emma appears in her first ever fashion shoot, wearing the new season’s best looks by Lanvin, Ralph Lauren, Max Mara, Tod’s, and Carolina Herrera.

In a further throwback moment, Emma was shot by Michael Avedon, grandson of Richard – who famously shot Audrey for Harper’s on several occasions. Fred Astaire’s character in Audrey’s movie Funny Face is also said to have been based on Richard.

Of her famous grandmother, Emma says, “I remember seeing a photo of her jumping on a trampoline—I believe this was before I understood that she was famous. But I remember thinking that she looked like a friend I wish I could have had.

“As a child I couldn't really relate to Audrey Hepburn, the actress. To me, she was family.

“When I watched Breakfast at Tiffany's, I enjoyed it the same way any young girl would. I've seen My Fair Lady and Roman Holiday, but I suppose my favorite is Funny Face.”

Audrey passed away in 1993, but Emma has held on to a few pieces of her wardrobe, not to mention her incredible beauty.

“All I can think of are her cashmere turtlenecks, which I adore and wear all throughout the winter,” she says. "And a white antique stuffed teddy bear."
