Stars attend the Australian VMAs

50 Cent, Leona Lewis, Wyclef amongst those getting down under

This weekend saw the MTV Australian VMAs with a host of international stars at our show.

The events in Australia kicked off when our very own Dizzee Rascal performed a mile high gig travelling from Auckland to the event location of Sydney.

Wyclef hosted the awards that featured performances from 50 Cent, Eve and Juliette Lewis to name a few.

New Zealand rapper Scribe performed on the same flight as Dizzee, and the UK rascal went on to perform Sirens during the ceremony.

Delta Goodrem and The Veronicas claimed the top prizes; Goodrem beat 50 Cent and the Foo Fighters to clinch the music video of the year trophy for her single Believe Again.

The Veronicas took the Australian artist music award, whilst Pink was voted the live performer of the year for her I'm Not Dead Tour.

A twist on the night came in the form of a Bad Karma Award that was given to Kevin Andrews, the former immigration minister who was singled out for banning Snoop Dogg from entering the country in 2007.

The non-fan voted awards were given to Matt Damon, Australian surfing world champion Mick Fanning, and Timbaland for international artist of the year.

The Vines brought the night to an end, performing their new single He's a Rocker.
