Avatar To Get Sequel?

3D blockbuster Avatar- which looks set to become the most commercially successful movie of all time- could spawn a sequel.

 

Director James Cameron told reporters at the weekend that he is already prepping an Avatar 2.

 

He explained: “We always planned on continuing the world and continuing the characters. In fact, that was part of the original pitch to 20th Century Fox.”

 

And Jim said the virtual world helps any new flick. He explained: “It's not like it's a practical set that when you build it, you have to tear it down and you're left with a big pile of lumber out behind the studio. We have all that stuff so we can go again.”

 

However Cameron did caution: “I have a rough story, but you need to make a script, so that might take some time. Don't start going to buy your tickets.”

 

Avatar- which was over 11 years in the making has already taken over $1.6 billion at cinemas worldwide.
