As the world gets its first taste of the 3D movie…

Cinema fans have had their first chance to see clips from James Cameron’s Avatar.
A trailer was released last week and a 15 minute preview section of the 3D flick was also shown at selected cinemas.
Cameron has been working on Avatar for over twelve years- since his last film Titanic was released.
The movie- reportedly the most expensive ever made- is set in the future on a distant new planet. It stars Sigourney Weaver, Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington.
Last week ‘Avatar Day’ saw 342 cinemas- including 100 Imax screens- in 58 countries play the preview section of the 3D blockbuster.
The movie is released on December 18.
