Earth's Mightiest Heroes Look Heroic In New Avengers: Age Of Ultron Poster
Everything about this says epic...
The Avengers are looking very avengey in the brand new poster for Age Of Ultron, which sees the biggest ensemble cast in the history of cinema (probably) unite to battle James Spader's evil robot Ultron and his army of… well, evil robots.
Featuring Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Cap (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and the rest of the gang, the image sees the superhero team ready for action (apart from Cap, he just looks a bit confused).
Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow, meanwhile, is shoved to the back along with Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson). Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor Johnson) are also squeezed in, as is Paul Bettany's powerful android Vision, who can be seen flying above the gang.
Avengers director Joss Whedon recently placated comic book aficionados by explaining why fan favourite and original Ultron creator Hank Pym - aka Ant-Man - doesn't feature in the team.
He told Empire: "There was no way for me to use him in this.
"I also thought it was a bridge too far. Ultron needs to be the brainchild of the Avengers, and in the world of the Avengers and the MCU, Tony Stark is that guy."
He added: "Banner has elements of that guy – we don’t really think of him as being as irresponsible as Tony Stark, but the motherf**ker tested gamma radiation on himself, with really terrible, way-worse-than-Tony-Stark results."
Well, that's that, then.
Avengers: Age of Ultron hits UK cinemas on 23rd April, 2015
