Avengers: Infinity War POST CREDITS Scenes – How Many There Are And What They Mean For The Rest Of The Marvel Universe
Here's everything you need to know about the post credits sequences in Avengers: Infinity War.
Avengers: Infinity War is arguably the movie event of the year. And OF COURSE everyone can’t wait to see the movie, which brings together our favourite heroes from Avengers, Guardians Of The Galaxy, Black Panther and more.
But you know what else a new Marvel movie brings? Hidden POST CREDITS SEQUENCES!
While waiting around for an extra glimpse of the Avengers is all part of the fun, it’s useful to know what you need to wait until the end of the credits for. We've has an early first look - so here it is.
Pretty unusually for a MCU film, this movie has only ONE post credits scene… and it’s at the very, very end of the film. So you’ve gotta wait until all the final credits have rolled to get your last fill of Marvel goodness (other recent movies, like this year’s Black Panther, planted a couple in during and early on in the credits roll). But it's worth waiting around for.
We won’t spoil it because we know that’s just not what Cap would do, but we *will* give you a tease that Avengers: Infinity War’s post credits scene features two old favourite MCU characters who aren’t featured in the rest of the movie, and who we haven’t seen in the movies for some time.
More importantly, eagle-eyed viewers will notice that it’s a lead into the upcoming Captain Marvel movie, starring Brie Larson in the title role, which is set for release on 6 March 2019 – pop the date in your diary now!
SO, that also means that we can expect Captain Marvel to deal with some of the events immediately following Avengers: Infinity War, rather than being a straight-up origin story. We already know that the movie will be set in the 1990s, however, so how these stories will interweave we’ll just have to wait and see.
The countdown is ON.
- Avengers: Infinity War hits cinemas 26 April 2018.
