Andy Serkis Gets Role In Avengers: Age Of Ultron
Actor who played Gollum set to appear in Marvel superhero sequel...
Andy Serkis has revealed that he has landed himself a part in Joss Whedon's forthcoming Avengers sequel.
The Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit star has been working with Mark Ruffalo on his CGI motion-capture performance as The Hulk in Avengers: Age Of Ultron.
And he has now told Variety that he is "playing a role" in the blockbuster himself.
But he remained coy on whether we'll see his face or not, saying: "I'm not at liberty to mention. But it's all the same to me.
"I've never drawn a distinction when playing a role, whether it be live action or performance capture.
"Acting is acting. It's just basically what you wear to the set that's different."
And he also elaborated on his work with Ruffalo through his consultancy firm The Imaginarium.
"There are tools and ways of working with an actor that makes them feel that they own the character, and a character the size of the Hulk needs ownership, which Mark has now."
