Is A Spider-Man, Avengers Crossover Movie Happening?

Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are apparently considering an Avengers / Spider-Man crossover flick.

According to Entertainment Weekly, both studios are in "delicate preliminary conversations" about making a movie together.

A source also claimed that in the next few years, Peter Parker could join his allies on the big screen.

Before its success with the Avengers franchise, Marvel sold the Spider-Man film rights to Sony, with director Mark Webb previously admitting that there have been past efforts to make the joint project happen.

Spidey himself, Andrew Garfield, is also keen for his character to appear alongside the Avengers, previously telling Yahoo!: "I would love that.  "I know that the fans would love that, the fans of the Marvel universe… the more the merrier, the bigger the better. I say 'never say never', you know. I think everyone would love to see that."
