Joss Whedon Talks Avengers 2 Script 'Panic'
Director discusses his progress on superhero sequel...
Joss Whedon has been discussing his work on the script for Avengers 2 - revealing that he has almost finished the first draft.
The filmmaker spoke to The Hollywood Reporter at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night, and confessed that he had been feeling the pressure to come up with a worthy sequel.
"It's been enormous fun, followed by deep, deep panic. I'm in the deep panic stage now. Actually, I've gone past panic into a vague nether-stage."
Explaining that he regarded the first film as a "meet and greet", he said the follow-up would let him "really slam them together and beat them up and figure out what makes them tick".
And when asked if it had been a difficult decision to take on the sequel, he responded: "I sat down and thought about it, 'Do I have a story to tell?' Same thing I thought before the first one.
"It took me 40 minutes to realize not only did I have a story, but I was in love with it."
We told you last week how Black Panther could be appearing in the movie.
